Product Description: | Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is a common sexually transmitted infection that affects both men and women. HPV is a group of more than 200 related viruses, with some strains causing warts on the skin and others causing cancer, including cervical, anal, and throat cancer. HPV is transmitted through sexual contact, and most people who are sexually active will contract at least one type of HPV during their lifetime. While most HPV infections do not cause any symptoms and clear up on their own, some persistent infections can lead to the development of cancer. The kit uses two primer pairs to detect 32 HPV genotypes in a sample by a multiplex amplification reaction and can differentiate between general and oncogenic HPV genotypes. |
Features: | Kit contents: • HPV mix: The mix includes all the amplification reagents for the HPVs detection and for the differentiation between generic and oncogenic genotypes, except MgCl2 and DNA polymerase • MgCl2 • DNA Polymerase • Positive control: Non-infective DNA sequences of both, generic and oncogenic HPV |
