Product Infomation
Product Description: Campylobacter is a genus of spiral-shaped, Gram-negative bacteria commonly found in the intestines of animals, including poultry, cattle, and pigs. These bacteria are a leading cause of foodborne illnesses in humans, often transmitted through the consumption of contaminated meat, unpasteurized dairy products, and contaminated water. Campylobacter infections typically result in symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, and fever, which can range from mild to severe. In some cases, these infections can lead to more serious complications, such as Guillain-Barré syndrome, a rare but potentially life-threatening autoimmune disorder. Understanding the biology and transmission of Campylobacter is essential for preventing and controlling the spread of these bacteria and minimizing the associated health risks. The kit is based on real-time PCR technology to detect Campylobacter.
